I cannot remember a time when I did not see Taylor Swift on the cover of a gossip magazine because of her relationship. I know, I know…she is worth so much more than her many heartthrobs-turned-boyfriends, which just keep on going to her, one after another, but it’s a little bit crazy, and a whole lot of cringeworthy. She might have that certain joie de vivre in romance (and it’s so hard for these dudes to not get to know her too, yeah, because she is a famous music artist in Hollywood) but even then, this young starlet sure believes in keeping herself in the news, no matter if the story is important or not.
What is more important: coffee breaks and interesting tabloids, or coffee breaks, crappy stories on tabloids and a migraine? Naturally, the former.
I guess when the story is about the work you do, the friends you have, like a “non-abnormal famous person”, it’s worth tuning into but celebrity-or-not-celebrity, there seems to be no stop button for Taylor Swift, when it comes to making news for her multiple number of boyfriends. WOAH there! Moving over to a non-crazy universe, if you had to pick favourites in celebrity romances, who would you pick? These are my all-time favourites:
- David Beckham and Victoria Beckham
- Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes
- Beyoncé and Jay-Z
I feel that it is so tough to come across celebrity couples such as these because it is entertaining to tune into their drama, and read about what makes the couples tick. I remember reading about mad obsession surrounding Paris Hilton and her love interests, once – she has dated two former “coconut heads” in Hollywood: Nick Carter (off the Backstreet Boys) and Leonardo DiCaprio. Paris likes to match her dates with her nail polish, and I guess in Hollywood, it is sometimes alright to have such a non-serious approach to relationships.
Fooling around with boys is cool but how do you make sure that the line between fun and careless/insensitive, does not get blurred? It’s not hard to spot celebrities with a girlfriend-list bigger than their list of films (Leonardo DiCaprio), or music albums (Justin Bieber), because it seems that being a professional isn’t as important to them, as their many, many romances, with many, many women. Insert: a serious amount of funnies at the insinuations…
As a blogger, I couldn’t even imagine that being a professional could ever come second to anything in my life, but some celebrities don’t seem to be built of that same mould – it’s such a shame because I do love Bieber’s latest work and I really want more of that amazing music! I was very happy to see him getting accolades for his latest album Purpose getting celebrated at Billboard Music Awards 2016, which is so rare yeah, given the deep ***t that won over plenty at the 2016 MTV VMAs.
